Ice Lollies, School Spirit and Mount Snowdon

CSR Director Gemma Linaker leads the charge as MukAway's three-year St Rocco's Hospice partnership builds momentum ahead of a very special challenge

The heatwave may be over. But MukAway's fundraising is far from it.

CSR Director Gemma Linaker ran an ice lolly sale at St Peter's Catholic Primary School in Warrington, with the help of a very special group of pupils and the timing couldn't have been better.

The sunshine did its bit, the school got behind it brilliantly, and the funds keep building for St Rocco's Hospice.

A brilliant effort from everyone involved. But here's what comes next.

The Carry Me Crew Takes on Snowdon

On 13th June, a group of children and their families, known as The Carry Me Crew, will be taking on the summit of Mount Snowdon together. That means there's Little legs all coming together to tackle a very big mountain all in the name of charity.

Gemma Linaker, CSR Director at MukAway, said: "What we did at St Peter's was a small thing, an ice lolly sale on a warm day. But it represents something much bigger. Every event, every sale, every donation brings us closer to our £60,000 target for St Rocco's and reminds us why we committed to this partnership in the first place.

"St Rocco's does extraordinary work for families in Warrington at the hardest moments of their lives. If MukAway can play even a small part in supporting that, we will. And watching the children who are taking on Snowdon hold that banner with such pride, that's the moment that stays with you. We can't wait to cheer them on."

At MukAway, our three-year partnership with St Rocco's Hospice with a £60,000 fundraising target is more than a corporate commitment. It's personal to us. It represents the very fabric of our business and that's community. It's the kind of thing that reminds you what really matters.

St Rocco's Hospice provides specialist, compassionate end-of-life care to patients and families across Warrington and the surrounding areas. The hospice relies heavily on charitable donations to continue delivering these vital services and every contribution, whether an ice lolly payment or a pledge, makes a real difference to real people in our community.
