MukAway welcomes Ryan Higgins as Customer Success Manager as we invest in local talent

MukAway has strengthened its growing team with the appointment of Ryan Higgins as Customer Success Manager, a hire that underlines the business's commitment to investing in local talent as demand for the platform continues to accelerate.

Ryan, 24, joins MukAway at its Birchwood Park, Warrington base, a ten-minute drive from where he lives, making him as local as it gets.

He brings with him a background in IT engineering from a fellow Warrington technology business, and transitions into a client-facing role at one of the North West's most rapidly expanding construction technology companies.

The appointment is an important one and not simply about a face-to-face interview following an emailed CV.

Fraser Linaker, MukAway's Chief Executive Officer, has known Ryan for over four years. It’s a relationship forged not in a boardroom, but at a Warrington boxing gym where they train together.

Ryan is a talented and disciplined fighter, and it was there that Fraser first identified the qualities that make him a natural fit for MukAway: passion, determination, focus, sharp communication skills and a strong technical grounding.

In his new role, Ryan is currently embedded across the MukAway team, shadowing each member of staff and developing a deep understanding of the platform, its systems and the opportunities it creates for clients. He has already accompanied Fraser to face-to-face onboarding sessions with major housebuilder Bloor Homes and is progressing rapidly.

His focus will be ensuring MukAway's growing client base remains fully informed, engaged and well-positioned to transact through the platform which a critical function as the network continues to expand.

Fraser Linaker, Chief Executive Officer of MukAway, said: "I've known Ryan for four years. I watched him train, compete and conduct himself and I knew long before we had this role that he was someone I wanted in our corner.

"Boxing teaches you things that no job description can. Discipline, resilience, the ability to stay calm under pressure and communicate clearly when it matters. Ryan has all of that, plus the technical ability to get to grips with a complex platform quickly.

"He lives ten minutes from our office, he knows Warrington. We are totally committed to bringing in local talent, after all - this is one of our own ESG objectives. Ryan, like every member of the team, cares about doing things properly. That's exactly who we want representing MukAway to our clients. He's already made an impression at Bloor Homes and he's only just getting going in our business."

Ryan Higgins said: "I've been aware of what Fraser was building at MukAway for a while, so when the opportunity came up it was an easy decision. Truth be told, it was one of the easiest decisions I’ve made in my career to date. I’ve been following the progress and the journey, and I’m delighted to be involved.

"Moving from IT engineering into a client-facing role is a shift, but the platform is something I genuinely believe in and having that technical background means I can get under the bonnet of the system quickly and help clients understand what it can do for them.

"I'm learning every day at the moment, meeting the team, understanding the clients and getting to grips with how the network operates. I want our clients to feel supported, informed and confident that they're making the most of what MukAway offers. That's the job and I'm looking forward to delivering on it."
