MV Kelly joins MukAway Platform and adds 250 sites in one hit

MukAway has secured one of its most significant partnerships to date, announcing that MV Kelly - one of the UK's largest residential groundworkers - has joined the platform on a group deal, bringing over 250 active sites into the MukAway network in a single move.

The agreement represents a landmark moment for MukAway's growth, significantly expanding the platform's density and transactional capability across the UK at a time when the business is preparing to launch the new merchant functionality which will enable MV Kelly and other contractors to source aggregates directly through the platform.

The merchant facility also allows companies to deal with hazardous materials that can’t be re-used as well as the opportunity to actively sell products in a business-to-business transaction.

MukAway’s internal haulage ability allows customers to price all three functions.

The timing could not be better. The scale of MV Kelly means the platform immediately gains access to one of the most active site networks in residential groundworks, creating real commercial opportunity for both parties from day one.

MukAway's platform connects housebuilders, contractors, civil engineers, developers, merchants, wash plants and recycling yards to enable the efficient movement and reuse of construction materials across live sites, reducing disposal costs and delivering measurable sustainability outcomes.

Fraser Linaker, CEO of MukAway, said: "Landing MV Kelly is a statement moment for MukAway. They are a huge name in civil engineering and housebuilding and a company that has an annual turnover of over £500m. They are active on hundreds of major housebuilding schemes across the regions where we operate and that’s great news for our platform and subscribers.

“When one of the UK's biggest residential groundworkers commits 250 sites to your platform, it makes a statement to the market. Companies like MV Kelly lead the way in the industry and are always at the forefront of new innovation, technology and/or construction practices.  They have to be, to stay at the top''

"The timing is significant too. We're about to launch our merchant functionality which will allow MV Kelly and the wider network to source aggregates directly through MukAway. That takes the platform from a material exchange to a full commercial tool, and MV Kelly's scale means they'll be able to benefit from that from the moment it goes live.

"This partnership strengthens our network at exactly the right time and we're looking forward to delivering real, measurable value for the MV Kelly team across their sites."

David Robottom, Aggregate Manager at MV Kelly, said: "MukAway made sense to us commercially from the first conversation. At the scale we operate across hundreds of live residential sites, the ability to efficiently move materials, reduce waste, lower carbon impact, and cut unnecessary cost is a significant operational advantage.

“What impressed us was the density of the network. This isn't a platform looking for its first users. There are real transactions happening on real sites every day, and that gives you confidence - commercially and environmentally.

"The incoming merchant functionality is a particularly exciting option for us. Being able to source aggregates through the same platform we're using to manage material movement creates a genuine one-stop solution for our procurement team. We're looking forward to getting fully embedded and onboarded across our sites and seeing the commercial benefits come through."

The MV Kelly partnership takes MukAway's active network to well over 850 live sites, with further announcements expected in the coming weeks as the platform continues its national rollout.
