PL Infrastructure and MukAway collaborate to deliver full-cycle material management across Civil Engineering operations

MukAway and PL Infrastructure have confirmed a collaboration that will see the civil engineering business become one of the first contractors to operate across the platform's complete suite of material management workflows - from surplus soil disposal through to the direct procurement of processed aggregates via the newly launched Merchant Product Sale function.

The agreement positions PL Infrastructure at the forefront of a fundamental shift in how civil engineering contractors approach material movement, replacing fragmented, unaudited processes with a single, compliant and commercially transparent platform.

As a civil engineering contractor, PL Infrastructure operates across the UK on projects where the efficient movement, classification and disposal of material is central to programme delivery and commercial performance.

Through MukAway, the business will now have access to all three of the platform's core workflows: Direct Material Transfer between sites, Merchant Waste Acquisition for classified waste material assigned European Waste Catalogue codes, and the Merchant Product Sale function, enabling PL Infrastructure to procure processed aggregates, recycled stone, sand fill and recycled MOT directly through the platform.

All transactions are documented, fully auditable and stored within the platform for a minimum of ten years, providing PL Infrastructure with a complete and compliant material trail across every project.

Fraser Linaker, CEO and Founder of MukAway, said: "PL Infrastructure understand that material management isn't just an operational necessity, it's a commercial opportunity.

“By using the full capacity of the platform, from waste acquisition through to direct product procurement, they are positioning themselves to deliver more efficiently, more compliantly and more competitively. We're delighted to welcome them as a partner and look forward to seeing the platform work hard for their business."

Paul Lackey, Managing Director of PL Infrastructure, said: "MukAway gives us something we haven't had before which is a single platform that covers every material scenario we face on a civil engineering project.

“Whether we're moving surplus soil off a site, disposing of classified waste compliantly, or procuring recycled aggregates for the next phase of a scheme, it's all in one place, all documented and all transparent. The commercial logic is clear and the compliance piece alone makes it a straightforward decision. We're looking forward to putting the platform to work across our operations."
