MukAway strengthens senior team with appointment of experienced Technical Manager Ste Newton

MukAway has announced the appointment of experienced Technical Manager Ste Newton, as the business prepares for the next stage of its growth and a national platform rollout planned for February.

Ste joins MukAway’s senior team and will be based at the company’s headquarters at Birchwood Park, Warrington, while spending significant time on site and within the MukAway office. His role will focus on onboarding, technical assurance, and working closely with users to unlock the full value of the platform in live construction environments.

Alongside supporting existing subscribers, Ste will play a key role in the ongoing development and evolution of the MukAway platform, contributing new ideas, technical insight and practical experience as the business scales nationally.

Ste has an extensive background in civil engineering and housebuilding, most notably for Miller Homes in the North West. He joins Fraser Linaker, CEO, and Ian Cheveau, Business Development and Marketing Director, having worked closely with them in a previous role.

MukAway’s platform challenges traditional approaches to soil and materials management, enabling smarter reuse, reduced waste, improved ESG performance and tangible commercial benefits for developers, housebuilders and contractors.

Fraser Linaker, CEO of MukAway, said: “As we prepare for national rollout, it was essential that we strengthened the business with the right technical leadership. Ste brings deep industry experience and a practical, solutions-led mindset that aligns perfectly with how MukAway operates.

“He knows the system and he knows this business. This role is about much more than oversight though, it’s about working alongside our subscribers, understanding their challenges on the ground, and ensuring MukAway continues to deliver real-world value at scale.”

Ste Newton added: “MukAway is doing something genuinely different in the construction industry. It’s not technology for technology’s sake, it’s a platform built around solving real problems that sites, commercial teams and ESG leads deal with every day. I’ve heard of the problems at source all my career.

“Material movement, MMPs, hauliers and housebuilders are at the centre of it and that’s very much my expertise.

“I’m excited to be joining at such a pivotal moment, supporting subscribers directly and helping shape the next phase of the platform as MukAway prepares to roll out nationally.”

The appointment follows a period of strong momentum for MukAway, with growing adoption across the development and construction sector, national deals on the horizon and engagement with Homes England. Ste’s arrival reinforces the company’s commitment to technical credibility, operational delivery and scalable growth, as it moves from early success to nationwide deployment.
