MukAway supports Strictly St. Rocco’s 40th Anniversary Event

MukAway was delighted to support its partner and one of Warrington most loved charities, St. Rocco’s Hospice, at its prestigious and significant milestone event at Haydock Park last Sunday.

Celebrating 40 years of supporting the people of Warrington and the North West was always going to attract a big crowd and that’s exactly what happened as charity members, just like us, helped raise an incredible £74,931.

These funds will play a crucial role in enabling St. Rocco’s to continue providing specialist, compassionate care to patients and families across Warrington - care that so many people rely on during the most challenging moments of their lives.

Our CEO, Fraser Linaker, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Director, Gemma Linaker attended alongside friends at B-Engineering Group. They joined guests, local businesses and supporters for what has become one of the hospice’s flagship fundraising events of the year.

The Strictly themed night featured eight amateur dancers paired with professional partners. They performed a series of routines to a live audience. One lucky couple lifted the glitterball trophy to round off the night, but this was more than entertainment - the purpose of the evening could be felt in every corner of the room.

At MukAway, we are committed to supporting organisations that make a genuine difference in our communities. St. Rocco’s Hospice embodies that spirit, and we’re proud to stand alongside them as they reach this milestone year.

When our CEO, Fraser Linaker, set up MukAway one of the first partnership signings and commitments was to St. Rocco’s. We will take part in at least three major fundraising events each year for a three-year period, as well as making direct financial contributions to the hospice.

Fraser Linaker said: “As a Warrington business, I’ve always felt passionate about supporting local charity and being from the town, this was the one I wanted to be involved in.

“This was one of the big events in the MukAway calendar and we were glad to support on the night as well as underline our pledge and commitment to them. Since we partnered with St Rocco’s, Gemma, our CSR Director, has been working really closely with Liam Durkan, Corporate Partnerships Manager at St Rocco’s and their wider team. I can’t wait to see what is in store in 2026.”

Gemma Linaker said: “Supporting St. Rocco’s is about standing with a charity that gives so much to our community. The atmosphere at Strictly St. Rocco’s was incredible, and seeing over £74,000 raised in one night shows just how valued their work is. We’re proud to play even a small part in helping them continue the care so many families rely on.”

A huge congratulations to the dancers, the organisers, the supporters, and the hospice team for a spectacular evening of community and generosity.
