MukAway Named Among North West's Most Exciting Companies of 2026

Warrington-based construction technology platform recognised by North West Business Insider for its role in transforming material management across the UK housebuilding sector
MukAway has been selected for inclusion in North West Business Insider's Most Exciting Companies 2026 cohort - one of the region's most respected annual business recognitions, running since 2018.
The accolade places MukAway alongside some of the North West's most ambitious and fast-growing businesses, spanning a range of sectors and stages of growth. The full cohort will be announced in the June 2026 issue of North West Business Insider magazine.
The recognition comes at a significant moment for the business.
MukAway recently completed the full rollout of its digital material exchange platform, which now enables housebuilders and developers to classify, transfer, procure and dispose of construction material through a single, compliant and fully auditable system.
Fraser Linaker, CEO and Founder of MukAway, said: "Being named among the North West's most exciting companies is a real endorsement of what the team has built and the problem we are solving. The construction industry has needed a platform like this for a long time - one that handles compliance, connects buyers and sellers of material, and removes the commercial friction from what has always been a complicated process. This recognition reflects the progress we have made, but more importantly, it reflects the confidence the market is placing in MukAway."
Ian Cheveau, Business Development and Marketing Director, added: "This recognition means a great deal to me personally. As a shareholder in the business, I have a vested interest in MukAway succeeding, but more than that, I genuinely believe in what we have built. Fraser's idea has come to life in less than 9 months.
"We are not a startup with a concept. We are a platform with a working product, a growing subscriber base and a clear commercial model that the housebuilding sector is responding to. As a former journalist, being named among the North West's most exciting companies in this publication validates the work, the vision and the direction of travel. The best is still ahead of us."
The business, headquartered in Warrington, serves housebuilders, civil engineers and groundworks contractors across the UK. Its platform covers three core transaction types: direct material transfer between sites, Merchant waste acquisition for classified waste material, and direct product procurement through the Merchant Product Sale workflow. All documentation, including Waste Transfer Notes, Waste Acceptance Criteria and delivery records is stored securely within the platform for a minimum of ten years.
MukAway's inclusion in the 2026 cohort follows a period of significant commercial momentum, including a presentation at the Home Builders Federation SME Developer Seminar in London, attended by developers, funders and investors from across the housebuilding sector.
The full Most Exciting Companies 2026 feature will appear in the June issue of North West Business Insider.
