Warrington's new signing. . .Mark Stuart joins MukAway

Joint MD of Sunday Times Best Places to Work business joins MukAway board, bringing commercial expertise, industry relationships and a shared vision for the futureof sustainable construction

MukAway has announced the appointment of Mark Stuart, Joint Managing Director of Stuart Energy, as a Non-Executive Director to underline a huge statement of intent in the platform's development.

The news is a clear signal of the strategic direction the business is taking as it moves into its next phase of growth that has already seen the business expand from one regional area to the whole of the UK.

Mark joins the MukAway board having first recognised the platform's potential early in its history. What began as a strategic partnership a few months ago which revolved around the sharing of contacts, opening of doors and building commercial connections across the construction and infrastructure sectors has now been formalised at the

highest level.

Mark will commit a minimum of four days per month to MukAway, bringing his commercial expertise, his extensive network and the values that have made Stuart Energy one of the most respected businesses in the UK power generation and equipment hire sector.

As part of the aggressive push for growth, MukAway will diversify portfolio and cross into the energy and sustainability sector as the business extends its full end to end construction offering.

Stuart Energy is a family-run power generation and equipment hire specialist that is one of the leading energy hire companies in the country. It delivers reliable temporary power solutions across the UK; from generator hire and fuel management to complete temporary power packages, supporting businesses, infrastructure projects and critical installations where power simply cannot fail.

Stuart Energy has recently been recognised as a Sunday Times Best Places to Work company, an accolade that reflects the culture Mark and his family have built.

The appointment reflects MukAway's deliberate strategy to recruit partners and collaborators who bring genuine sector expertise, commercial credibility and a shared commitment to doing things properly. Mark Stuart embodies all three.

Fraser Linaker, CEO and Founder of MukAway, said: "Mark reached out to me early in MukAway's journey because he saw what we were building before most people did. That instinct, that ability to spot a trajectory and back it is exactly the kind of thinking I want around the MukAway board table.

“I said recently that we want more good people in our business, people who fit within our own MA values. And what started as a strategic partnership has grown into something much more significant. Mark brings a commercial mind, a brilliant network and the values of a business that has been built the right way. Having him as a Non-Executive Director is a major step forward for MukAway and I couldn't be more pleased to welcome him in this role. The best is still ahead of us and Mark is going to play a significant part in what that looks like."

Mark Stuart, Joint Managing Director of Stuart Energy and Non-Executive Director of MukAway, said: "I recognised MukAway's trajectory early on and I made it my business to get involved. Fraser and the team have built something genuinely significant.

“It’s a platform that solves a real, costly and long-ignored problem in the construction sector, and does it compliantly, commercially and at scale. The strategic partnership we have developed has already demonstrated the power of

two businesses working together with shared values and shared ambition. Stepping up to a Non-Executive Director role is the natural next step. I am excited about what MukAway is building and I am committed to helping drive the business forward. This is a platform whose time has come. The moment is now for us.:”

The appointment of Mark follows an exceptional period of commercial momentum for MukAway.

The platform has recently secured group-wide deals with Gleeson Homes, MV Kelly, Bloor Homes and Keepmoat East Midlands, onboarded MCI Developments, Barnfield Construction, Denbury Homes, PL Infrastructure and HD Ricketts, and launched itsMerchant Product Sale function, completing a full end-to-end material management solution for the first time.

The platform's subscriber base continues to grow rapidly as the UK's leading developers, housebuilders, contractors and wash plants recognise the commercial, compliance and sustainability benefits of a single, connected material management platform. It currently stands at nearly 1,000 sites and over 80 companies signed subscribed to the platform.

MukAway is a national finalist at the NCE Awards 2026, has been named among North West Business Insider's Most Exciting Companies of 2026 and recently presented at the Home Builders Federation SME Developer Seminar in London.
