MukAway's CEO completes charity skydive

What began as a routine charity skydive turned into a test of patience, discipline and fortitude for MukAway CEO Fraser, who finally took to the skies this week in aid of St Rocco’s Hospice.
Originally scheduled to jump the previous weekend, the attempt was called off at the last minute due to high winds in Shropshire. Despite hitting a strict weight target in preparation for the jump (14st, 3lb), Fraser was forced to reset and maintain the regime for a further week, an added challenge not originally part of the plan.
A second attempt was lined up for Saturday 18th April, with a scheduled jump time of 12 noon. However, history looked to be repeating itself as weather conditions once again disrupted the schedule. Strong winds delayed take-offs throughout the day, pushing jumps back hour by hour.
What was meant to be a midday leap eventually became an evening one.
At 5pm, after hours of waiting and uncertainty, Fraser finally boarded the aircraft. In a final twist, he was the last participant to exit the plane, stepping out at 10,000 feet to complete the long-awaited challenge.
“It’s been an interesting two weeks,” Fraser said.
“I was all set last week and it got called off, but the weight was made. I had to go again this week, stayed disciplined with 530am gym appointments, and made it again. The jump was meant to be early, but with the delays I ended up being the last one out of the plane at 10,000 feet. But I’ve always said I’d do it. That’s the MukAway way - we say something and we follow it through. That’s exactly what happened.
“It was an exhilarating flight down and something I’d encourage anyone to do, but it does take a bit of nerve when you are hovering over the edge. I was in safe hands though!”
The skydive was completed in support of St Rocco’s Hospice, a charity close to Fraser’s heart, with fundraising efforts continuing beyond the jump itself with the business planning a series of challenges throughout 2026.
Fraser added: “We’ll keep the donation link open, and any last contributions would be hugely appreciated by me, the MukAway team, and the hospice.”
Jo Shaw, Philanthropy Fundraiser, praised the effort: “Massive credit to Fraser. What he’s shown over the past two weeks is real commitment and resilience. It would’ve been easy to walk away after the first cancellation, but he stuck to his word and delivered. We’re incredibly grateful for his efforts and the support from MukAway and everyone who’s donated, it will make a genuine difference to the hospice.”
The total currently stands close to £1,000. We’re slightly shy of our target. If you can donate in any way, please do so by clicking and pledging below.
